KHS’s Boone Day Celebration Packed with Family History, Children’s ActivitiesFrankfort, KY - May 30, 2007 This year's Boone Day celebration, a proud Kentucky Historical Society tradition for more than a century, is scheduled for June 16 from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in Frankfort.
Visitors are encouraged to bring the family for a fun-filled day and learn about their family traditions and those Kentuckians who have made the Commonwealth their home throughout history.
Activities are open to the public,
except where otherwise noted in the schedule (see below). Admission to all museums and exhibitions: $4 adults, $2 youth (6-18), children under 5 free. Members receive complimentary admission.

Family Activity: Intergenerational Family Take-Away Scrapbook
Come ready to recall and share your family’s food, holidays, and special ceremonies. Work together with your children and grandchildren to “grow” a family tree. Leave with a finished family scrapbook to celebrate your family history and memories of your Boone Day 2007 experience.
Learn about the holiday traditions of Kentucky immigrant families by making your own piñatas and Chinese paper cuts.
