Moldboard plow, c. 1795 Creating a homestead in frontier Kentucky required the combined efforts of everyone in the household. After clearing the land, men plowed and harvested the fields, while women prepared food for the table or for market and children pulled weeds. Donated by Waveland State Historic Site.
